CCNA R&S cubre temáticas básicas sobre redes de datos, quien aproveche un curso de éstos comprenderá detalladamente cómo funcionan las redes de datos en general y sabrá diseñar y configurar redes pequeñas desde los PCs hasta los enrutadores que dan acceso a Internet. Una de las habilidades que se enfatiza en este programa es el diagnóstico y solución de problemas específicos, por ejemplo, durante la preparación en la academia se desarrollan muchos laboratorios con equipos Cisco reales en los que se configura todo el tiempo lo que se está estudiando y se incluyen, además, muchísimas prácticas simuladas con Packet Tracer y se proporciona todo el material de apoyo como manuales y simulacro de examen.Todo este trabajo se puede considerar como experiencia de trabajo y, en parte, ése es el objetivo.
